Welcome!

The Diaspora Social Club is a membership association offering a variety of exclusive events and activities enjoyed widely throughout the Diaspora in celebration of our history, common interests, and rich culture. We believe in investing in our community by circulating the black dollar among black-owned businesses, and giving back to causes that directly benefit the black community.

DSC is neither a political nor religious affiliated organization and is an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Intentional harm, hatred, and/or violation of one's personhood or humanity is an infraction of our Code of Conduct and grounds for immediate termination of membership.

Oversight of the Diaspora Social Club is the responsibility of the Board of Directors and Management Team. The Board of Directors is the governing body of the social club who oversee and enforce the overall strategy, mission, and purpose of the organization while the Management Team manages day-to-day operations, membership engagement, and execution of the social calendar.

Black Love

We believe that Black Love is a radical, restorative act - nurturing healthy relationships, strengthening community bonds - fostering a safe haven rooted in deep familial affection, solidarity, and unwavering support for one another where every member feels valued, seen, and protected.

Mutual Respect

We understand that Black people are not a monolith and therefore, practice intentional honor and equity in all human interactions. We recognize the inherent dignity, diverse perspectives, and unique lived experiences of every member in our community, committing to open communication and a culture where everyone is treated with absolute fairness.

Black Joy

We claim happiness, leisure, and celebration as pillars of our existence. We reject the necessity of struggle as our defining narrative, deliberately centering spaces of community, levity, black expression, and pure recreation as a source of communal restoration.

Black Culture

We honor, preserve, and elevate the rich tapestry of the global Black Diaspora through a social calendar of events centered around black cultural heritage. We celebrate the similarities and differences that comprise our vast culture, ensuring our history is celebrated in the present and maintained and shared with future generations.

Black Community

We recognize that we are a tribal and familial people, communal by nature and we build and sustain an intentional village that bridges geographic, generational, and economic divides. Recognizing that our collective strength lies in our interconnectedness, we foster a deep sense of belonging and look out for one another's well-being.

Black Eco-System

We intentionally direct our capital and influence to circulate resources and contribute to building sustainable wealth within our community. From sourcing vendor services to championing member-owned enterprises, we circulate our economic and social capital locally to foster long-term collective autonomy.

Harm Prevention

We proactively design and maintain spaces that prioritize emotional, psychological, and physical safety. Through these clear community values, transformative accountability, and restorative practices, we strive to actively mitigate conflict and ensure our gatherings remain safe spaces of levity, and restoration for all members. We choose to protect us, even from us, because all of us are not for us either.

DSC Membership Tiers

Membership is offered in three tiers - General, Senior, and Member-Owned-Business.

Dues are assessed monthly and offset the cost for social calendar events and pay for social club operations.

$79 / month
Universal membership for those that are not senior or Member-Owned-Business applicants - includes all membership benefits.
$63 / mo
Membership at a discounted rate for applicants 60+ years or older. Includes all membership benefits, and exclusive access to events specifically curated for this age group.
$129 / mo
Member-Owned Business (MOB) Memberships are for applicants that own or operate viable black-owned businesses, with membership benefits as well as others that directly benefit their enterprise.
